Join Walter Reeves, Georgia Gardening Guru; Hank Bruno, Director of Horticulture, Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden; Helen Phillips, Manager of Garden Solutions Garden Center; and Callaway Gardens Experts -- Brian Kanotz, Manager of Production Greenhouses and David Chambers, Manager of Mr. Cason's Vegetable Garden along with other nursery professionals for a fun and informative evening of good food and gardening conversation.

 

Dine of delectable Regional Foods with Callaway Gardens' Executive Chef Bill Justus describing the foods and providine recipes.

Launch your spring gardening endeavors with advice from the experts.  Join us for a fantastic gardening experience with Georgia’s own garden guru, Walter Reeves.  You’ll get practical, down-to-earth advice and insight into your gardening activities.  You’ll also be inspired with innovations and plant suggestions.   Callaway Gardens’ gardening experts will join Walter for an in-depth question and answer session.  Bring your gardening questions and challenges to see if you can get your perplexing gardening issues solved!  You will also be able to purchase some of Walter’s books and get them autographed. 


After lunch you can spend the afternoon shopping and browsing at the Plant Fair and Sale.

Walter Reeves hosts a four-hour weekly gardening show on NewsTalk 750 WSB-AM, which captures the most listeners in Atlanta among all 23 competing radio stations each Saturday morning. Walter writes a weekly column of gardening tips and questions and answers for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Home & Garden section. He is known statewide through his numerous books, newspaper columns and magazine articles. No one wants to waste money and time on plants that never prosper.  Should the soil around trees be amended? Is lime necessary?  What fertilizers work best for different plants?  Walter will talk about the latest research on how to plant trees, shrubs, annuals and perennials correctly.
