Join the Callaway Gardens experts for a comparative tasting of the world's best varietals, including Merlots, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandels. Enjoy a comparative tasting of chocolate delights from beginning to end featuring an extravaganza from select chocolate beans to various delectable creations. Pairing the perfect wine with just the right chocolate will be a truly remarkable start to a weekend of culinary surprises.
Saturday: August 16, 2008 - Callaway Gardens Harvest Workshop and Cooking Demonstration
11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Mr. Cason's Vegetable Garden Join us for this weekend of fun and once in a lifetime experience under the direction of Callaway Gardens executive chef, Bill Justice and manager of Mr. Cason's Vegetable Garden, David Chambers, 35-year gardening expert, teacher and author. A bounty of fun and flavor will prevail featuring local produce, fresh offerings from Mr. Cason’s Vegetable Garden and a Southern-style BBQ. Known as the Southern setting for the acclaimed television show The Victory Garden, you will be inspired by the 7.5 acre-demonstration garden while you experience specialty tasting stations providing delectable treats created by Callaway Gardens' Executive Chef paired with a selection of Rieslings, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc and Chardonnays. - Differences between tasting and enjoying Wine
