Registration Form 2nd Annual Radio Controlled Model Boat and Seaplane Regatta Robin and Martin Lake September 4-5, 2009 More fun has just been added to the popular Sky High Hot Air Balloon Festival with this years Second Annual Radio Controlled Model Boat Regatta. Special highlights include fast electric, sailboat races and a utility class competition. There is also a special class for model builders under 12 years old and a parade of military boats. There will be judging categories of pleasure craft, utility and military, and with prizes available such as Best in Show and People's Choice Award this is sure to be a great addition to fun filled weekend. Bring your family or friends and enjoy the excitement of seeing these seaplanes and boats in action! 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.: Parade of Boats and Seaplanes Saturday, September 5th 9:00 a.m.: Registration 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.: Open Practice 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Fast Electric Racing 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Sailboat Racing 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.: Utility Boat Competition 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.: Armada of Military Boats 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.: Awards 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.: Covered Dish Supper for participants and guests hosted by Longleaf Community Other Activities Small Boat Demonstration Runs and Display in 48' x 28' pond (Amphitheater Stage) Boat Display in adjacent tent Model Boat Building and Racing for youngsters in the pond (Lane 10 White Tent) Raffle tickets for "Callaway Goose" benefit the Harris County Rotary African Water Project ($2/ticket). Please Note: No gas boats will be allowed and boats may be demonstrated anytime on the lake as long as they do not interfere with the events.
