You wouldn't expect a white sand beach in the middle of Georgia but that's exactly what you'll find at Robin Lake Beach in Callaway Gardens. This is the world's largest manmade, white sand beach–it stretches a mile around 65-acre Robin Lake. The Beach is the hub of summer activity at the Gardens and the center stage for our popular Summer Adventure program.

In addition to Iceberg Island*, swimming and sunbathing, guests may enjoy miniature golf, table tennis, shuffleboard, volleyball and paddle boats.

The spectacular Florida State University "Flying High" Circus  has been in residence here every Summer since 1960. This troupe of talented college students performs seven thrilling shows weekly under the big top adjacent to the Beach. Their talents rival professional circuses, and their shows will keep you on the edge of your seat. Performances daily, except Wednesdays during Summer Adventure season.

There's also a Fitness Trail for exercise enthusiasts, a concession area for quick meals or snacks, picnic tables and the Sand Bucket shop for all your beach needs.

Robin Lake Beach is open May 31 through August 8.  It closes on August 9 for the season, and reopens for August 29-31 for Labor Day and the Sky High Hot Air Balloon Festival.

* Iceberg Island - Fee: $5 per person per hour or $25 all-day admission.  Last session begins at 5:00 p.m.
