Every day our guests are treated to the rare opportunity to meet magnificent birds of prey. These animal ambassadors are dedicated to providing wildlife education by demonstrating their natural skills in a beautiful outdoor, free-flighted program. Callaway Gardens is one of the few locations that features a live raptor show daily. There are approximately one dozen birds in the program, and at each show, three to five of the raptors appear, so no two shows are ever alike. Most of the birds fly freely during the show --- right over the heads of the audience! Trainer The Birds of Prey shows are presented by expert trainers who spend countless hours training and nurturing these birds. The trust and mutual respect between the birds and trainers is evident in each of their performances. For your pet's safety and the safety of our raptors, no pets are allowed in or near the Discovery Amphitheater or the bike path behind the amphitheater when a Birds of Prey show is in progress or during training sessions. The birds in the program are not domesticated and retain all of their hunting instincts and abilities. Birds of Prey shows are in the Discovery Amphitheater near the Virginia Hand Callaway Discovery Center.
Shows may be canceled in the case of inclement weather or extreme heat. Show times are: January 1–February 28
