Memorial Chapel | Sibley Horticultural Center | Discovery Center The Ida Cason Callaway Memorial Chapel seems as if it was built especially for weddings. This idyllic stone chapel, fashioned after 16th century Gothic chapels, features a stone altar and magnificent stained glass windows. Its picturesque, lakeside setting is a lovely and inspiring place to begin your new life together. Chapel Wedding Guidelines The Ida Cason Callaway Chapel can be reserved based on availability. Preference will be given to guests who are hosting their reception at Callaway Gardens. The fee for the Ida Cason Callaway Memorial Chapel $1,500 plus tax rental fee. This fee includes: The Chapel reserved for an hour for the actual ceremony. (All attempts are made to avoid booking other events in the hour before and after the ceremony time to allow for set up and tear down of ceremony decorations.) Please note: The Chapel seating capacity is 50, there is standing room for additional 20 - 25 people. Use of the Chapel for a rehearsal, if necessary. A rehearsal reservation must be made at the time the wedding is booked. Admission into the Gardens on the day of the wedding for guests invited to your wedding. (Arrival cannot be more than two hours prior to the appointed time of the wedding). Rice, birdseed or petals may not be used - bubbles are allowed. The release of butterflies or anything living is not permitted. Decorations are permitted within reason and may be placed on the rock altar. Any decorations placed in the Chapel must be taken down after completion of the wedding. No nails or staples are allowed to attach decorations. No decorations are allowed outside the Chapel. The rock altar is stationary and cannot be moved. All weddings and rehearsals are scheduled as follows:
January - October: 9:30 a.m.or 10:00 a.m. and between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
November - December: 9:30 a.m. or 10 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The $1500 rental fee is required within ten days after the reservation is made. Full payment is due 90 days prior to the reservation date and is non-refundable.
Optional rehearsals are held at the times listed above on the day before the wedding, and rehearsals must be scheduled with the Wedding Facility Coordinator. Minister Your party may provide your own officiant. Organist Since the organ is a special handmade pipe organ on which one must be trained, only Callaway organists can be contracted to play for weddings and special events. The Wedding Facility Coordinator handles all arrangements and fees. Fees for the organist are: $100.00 for the optional rehearsal
$100.00 for the wedding ceremony Your party may bring your own musicians but they must supply their own instruments. Printed prices are subject to change without notice; however, all contracted pricing will be honored.
