Memorial Chapel | Sibley Horticultural Center | Discovery Center Receptions and weddings make a statement in the remarkable Virginia Hand Callaway Discovery Center. The lofty ceilings and unique, open design along with the expansive view of Mountain Creek Lake invite a grand celebration on your special occasion. - Reservations are required. The fee for the Virginia Hand Callaway Discovery Center is $3,000.00 plus tax rental fee. This fee includes:
Use of the Callaway Discovery Center for a rehearsal (optional)
Use of the Callaway Discovery Center for a wedding and/or reception
Admission into the Gardens on the day of the event for guests invited to the event (arrival cannot be more than two hours prior to the scheduled time of the event). - All weddings and rehearsals at the Callaway Discovery Center are scheduled as
follows: January - February: 6:00 p.m. (indoor only)
March - August: 7:00 p.m.
September - October: 6:00 p.m.
November - December: Not available for weddings
- The $3500 (plus tax) rental fee is required within ten days once a reservation is made to confirm the day and time. Full payment is due 90 days prior to the event date and is non-refundable.
Minister Your party may provide your own officiant. Musician Your party may engage your own musicians but they must supply their own instruments. Others - Callaway caters all Callaway Discovery Center events. No outside food or beverages are permitted.
- Rice, birdseed or petals may not be used - bubbles are allowed. The release of butterflies or anything living is not permitted.
- Decorations are permitted within reason. No nails or staples are allowed when attaching decorations.
- Maximum allowable number of guests for a function inside the gallery is 130 seated or 200 standing.
- Maximum allowable number of guests for an outside function is 140.
- Bands are required to setup on the existing floor with no staging.
