Because the Callaway Gardens' lakes are private, a Georgia fishing license is not required. Fishing is available on Mountain Creek Lake by renting a boat or canoe. Fishing is available on our private lakes by scheduling a guided trip. Live bait such as worms, crickets, meal worms and night crawlers are permitted on Mountain Creek Lake. Fishing with minnows, shiners or any type of bait fish is strictly prohibited. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. No personal boats or bank fishing is permitted anywhere at Callaway.
