We are able to arrange guided fishing trips with Callaway Gardens' certified instructors.  All equipment is provided on guided trips, including flies. All guided trips are catch-and-release only. We suggest you bring a cap and polarized sunglasses for safety and comfort.

Please book your guided fly-fishing trip at least seven days in advance. For rates, please visit our rates page or call Kingfisher Outfitters at 706-663-5142.

Guided Fly-fishing
It has been said that one of the greatest things about fly fishing is that it is often done in some of the most beautiful places on earth. With that said, Callaway and fly fishing are made for each other. Every year we guide hundreds of people from the most seasoned veterans, skilled at catching bonefish and tarpon, to beginners who have never held a fly rod in their hands.

Fly fishing is done primarily from float tubes on our professionally managed lakes. We offer half-day and full-day guided trips for largemouth bass and bream year round, and rainbow, brown & brook trout from November through April.

Guided Bass Fishing
Callaway has long been known for her magnificent largemouth bass, and in the past conventional tackle fishers have begged to go where only fly fishers have gone before–the twelve other lakes on the property. Now, it’s possible to book a guided spin fishing or baitcasting trip and fish for the bass of a lifetime. Our guided guests are regularly catching 6-13 pound bass, and we’re convinced there are personal record-breakers out there waiting for many of you. There are many days when guests report catching up to 135 bass per day!

The cost for guided conventional tackle fishing trips are the same as for our guided fly fishing trips: $195 for a half day/per 1 or 2 persons, and $295 for a full day/per 1 or 2 persons. Because we do a very limited number of conventional tackle trips, and because many of our guests book several months ahead of time, we suggest making reservations with plenty of advanced notice.
