Blinky Moon Boys

"The Blinky Moon Boys" is a name that people tend to remember.  The name originates from a joke that was told about the goings on at a "Blinky Moon Tourist Court" in Williamsburg, Kentucky.  Such an unusual name is fitting for a group of uncommon musicians.  The Blinky Moon Boys bandmembers live in Tennessee, Georgia and Virginia.  Each band member has played with their own hometown bands and nationally recognized acts over the years, but the real magic starts when they perform together.  You can hear the driving banjo style of the early banjo masters, the smooth brand of Kentucky/Tennessee fiddling, and the punctuated mandolin style of Monroe.  You'll also hear the soulful mountain singing of the Stanleys and a "bounce" reminiscent of Jimmy Martin.
