Saturday, September 24th
(All day) Blue Morpho Butterfly Month — Marvel at the Blue Morpho as hundreds of these tropical butterflies fill the Day Butterfly Center with their iridescent-blue splendor. If the trend continues, visitors to the Day Butterfly Center will witness the largest display of Blue Morphos on the planet during September.
(All day) Georgia Junior Duck Stamp Art Exhibit — Each year, students in grades K-12 select a North American duck, goose or swan; research the species and its habitat; then depict the bird in an artistic medium. Following the competition sponsored by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the artwork goes on an exhibition tour around Georgia, including a stop at Callaway Gardens.
9:00am Fly-Fishing School — Learn the graceful art of fly fishing from our expert instructors. Our weekend fly-fishing schools consists of classroom instruction, casting practice and lake fishing.
12:30pm Free-Flight Birds of Prey Shows 12:30 p.m. — Discover the majesty of owls, hawks and other raptors in our daily indoor and outdoor shows. Click above link for seasonal show schedules.
2:00pm Organ Concerts — Marvel as the majestic sounds of our custom-built Möller pipe organ ring out from this iconic building overlooking Falls Creek Lake.
5:00pm Saturday Night Classic Southern Buffet — This smorgasbord of down-home entrees, vegetables and desserts will satisfy the heartiest of appetites.
