Birds of Prey
Feathered ambassadors with a story to tell about man's influence on the survival of wildlife make the Callaway Gardens' Birds of Prey show much more than just entertainment. The magnificent birds of prey featured in these outdoor, free-flighted shows, demonstrate their strength, speed and natural instincts at a lakeside amphitheater that allows the creatures to swoop directly over spectators' heads. This is a rare opportunity to see these birds up-close and to learn how our actions can endanger the survival of these innocent, yet mighty, birds.
Callaway Gardens is one of the few locations that features a live raptor show daily. There are approximately one dozen birds in the program, and at each show, three to five of the raptors appear, so no two shows are ever alike. Most of the birds fly freely during the show – right over the heads of the audience!
