July 4th Star Spangled Beach Party

The celebration begins early and lasts into the night at our annual July 4th Star Spangled Beach Party. We celebrate Independence Day with a day of pure fun. So pack a picnic and sunscreen, round up your friends and family, and head to Callaway Gardens for a spectacular fourth of July!

Note: Activities and time are subject to change.

Summer Fun at Robin Lake Beach...

• Paddleboating on Chickadee Lake : $5 an hour for two-seater $7 an hour for four-seater.    Annual Passholders ride for free (must show Annual Pass card)
  
• Iceberg Island Water Playground :  Trampolines, aqua totters, slides and more. For ages six years and older. $6 per person/per one-hour session (tax not included) Sessions start on the hour, weather permitting. Iceberg Island tickets may be purchased at The Sand Bucket Gift Shop.
  
• Cool off under Beach Chairs and Umbrellas available for rental from The Sand Bucket Gift Shop.   $15 three hour rental ; $25 day rental
  
• We know many of you were looking forward to one last ride on the Chickadee Choo Choo Train. In June, the train chose its own time to call it quits. It will truly be missed.

Picnicking

Picnic tables and grills are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Groups cannot reserve picnic tables until their parties arrive. Grills are in the Pine Needle Point picnic area.

Trash receptacles are located throughout the gardens and beach area for your convenience. Please use them and help us keep the environment clean.

Bicycles

Bicycles are available for rental at the Virginia Hand Callaway Discovery Center starting at 9 a.m. Last rental must be returned by 4:45 p.m.

Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Stop by The Sand Bucket Gift Shop for sunscreen, beach towels, hats and more, to make your day at the Beach a pleasant one.

Remember…

Admission to the Star Spangled Beach Party includes admission to all attractions within Callaway Gardens including the Day Butterfly Center, Callaway Discovery Center, Sibley Horticultural Center, Live Birds of Prey Shows, our many walking trails and our 10-mile Discovery Bicycle Trail. Garden attractions close at 6 p.m. Please refer to your July Calendar and Map for a complete listing of activities around the Gardens.

Pets are not permitted anywhere in the Beach area due to health and safety reasons. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted to be brought onto Callaway Gardens property.
