Let your talents bloom at the 2013 Callaway Gardens School of Needle Arts. This unique program is nationally recognized as one of the premier needlepoint schools in the nation, with more than 300 needlework enthusiasts attending the two sessions. The 10-day event consists not only of classes taught by the highest qualified instructors, but also an incredible boutique offering needlework supplies, and an outstanding bookstore featuring the latest in needlework books, as well as out-of-print copies. An exhibit sponsored by The Dogwood Chapter Embroiderer's Guild of America displays a juried show of participants' work and the ribbon winners. The Dogwood Chapter also hosts a Merchandise Night during each session, in which vendors offer the latest in needlework tools, beads, wearable art and more.
Each teacher participating in the school is responsible for designing the piece taught in his/her class, drawing patterns, writing the instructions and choosing the threads. The finished products are incredibly beautiful and intricate creations that resemble paintings, photographs and sculptures. Some are even original works of art!
We hope you will make plans to join us for the 2013 Callaway Gardens School of Needle Arts. Each session offers classes in two-day and four-day formats.
