Regulations

Because the Callaway Gardens' lakes are private, a Georgia fishing license is not required. Fishing is available on Mountain Creek Lake by renting a boat or canoe. Fishing is available on our private lakes by scheduling a guided trip.

Live bait such as worms, crickets, meal worms and night crawlers are permitted on Mountain Creek Lake. Fishing with minnows, shiners or any type of bait fish is strictly prohibited. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. No personal boats or bank fishing is permitted anywhere at Callaway.

Boat Rental Rates:

1/2 day, 1 person	$35
Full day, 1 person	$55
1/2 day, 2 person	$45
Full day, 2 person	$60
3rd person 1/2 day	$15
3rd person Full day	$25

Canoe/Kayak Rental Rates:

1-hour	$20
Every additional hour	$5

Rod and Tackle Box Rental: $12 per day

* We do not rent float tubes or any fly fishing equipment.

Fly Fishing Rates:

Guided Fly Fishing

Half-day trip for one or two	$195
Full-day trip for one or two	$295

Please book your guided fly-fishing trip at least seven days in advance by calling 706-663-5142.

Fly Fishing Instructions:

Full-day Private instructions (includes lunch)	$295 per 1 or 2 persons
Casting Lesson	$50 per person
Casting Lesson (with guided trip)	$25 per person
Fly-Tying Lesson (2 hours)	$40 per person

Two-day Fly Fishing Schools: $295 per person
