They climbed aboard the Jolly Trolley for a dazzling journey along the classic seven-mile Fantasy In Lights drive-through experience, adorned with 10 million twinkling lights and 17 dazzling Christmas scenes! Fantasy in Lights is a light and sound spectacle that is more than 30-year Christmas tradition. What started as a drive-through experience three decades ago continues to expand year after year. New in 2023, the critically acclaimed event debuts the shimmering Tree of Traditions. Decked in thousands of lights, this towering four-story evergreen brings beloved Christmas sights and sounds to life in a new show.

NO! There is also a walkthrough experience, the Callaway Christmas Village. Walk through a forest of twinkling lights, gigantic snowflakes and larger-than-life ornaments enchant your whole family. Stroll through a forest of picture-perfect trees on Christmas Tree Lane and stop for hot chocolate, seasonal shopping and character meet-and-greets with Rudolph, Santa and more at the Christmas Market!

In addition to the famed seven-mile drive, families continue to immerse themselves in the season at the Callaway Christmas Village, a brilliantly lit walk-through experience. A 50-foot-tall Christmas Tree sings jolly tunes for the whole family, and a 75-foot-long glowing Christmas Tunnel lights the way to the Winter Wonderland Walkway, a forest of twinkling lights, and larger-than-life Christmas scenes featuring gigantic snowflakes, towering nutcrackers, and more Christmas surprises.

This beloved tradition was inspired years ago by Virginia Callaway’s love of Christmas lights. It started as a drive-through experience three decades ago and continues to expand year after year.

One of the best things about Callaway is a visit can fit any family budget. In addition to offering value nights, Fantasy in Lights ticketholders can come early in the day to participate in Callaway’s activities including watching the Birds of Prey show, visiting the Butterfly Center, biking, hiking, ziplining, and simply exploring. And while we have eateries and dining options throughout the resort cost-conscious families can also bring their picnics.

Guests can order tickets online at www.callawaygardens.com, by calling 1.800.CALLAWAY (225.5292), or in person at Will Call. We highly suggest ordering online in advance to ensure that guests receive the timeslot they want. We cannot guarantee early timeslots for in-person buying.

Tickets are nonrefundable due to weather conditions or any other reason. In the event of rain, Trolley ticket holders who do not wish to ride the Trolley do not have to exchange their tickets to drive through in their car, they just need to get in line at the queue lot.

Tickets are valid only for the day and time slot for which they were purchased. Guests may exchange tickets for another day or a time slot based on availability at the time changes are made. This must be done before arrival by calling by calling 1.800.CALLAWAY (225.5292), or visiting the information center.

Guests can enter Trolley Loading or the queue lot for personal vehicles any time during their hour time slot. Yes. Fantasy In Lights tickets include a one-day admission to Callaway Gardens anytime through January 1, 2024.

Guests who are driving their vehicles through Fantasy In Lights may have pets in the vehicle with them. However, pets are not permitted in the Christmas Village or anywhere else in the Robin Lake Beach area.

Fantasy In Lights opened in 1992 with five scenes. Since then, it has grown to 18 lighted scenes (2 being at Robin Lake Beach) with music and many with animation.

More than 10 million. This is equivalent to the number of lights on more than 26,000 standard 6-foot-tall Christmas trees. If you connected all of the light strings used in Fantasy In Lights, they would stretch 731 miles – long enough to outline the state of South Carolina or stretch them from Pine Mountain to Baltimore, Maryland!

The Fantasy In Lights drive-through drive is approximately seven miles, which takes 45 minutes minimum.

Yes, there will be courtesy carts running from the circus tent to Trolley Loading.

There will be one at the Sandbucket, one in QLot, and one by Trolley Loading.

Only trained service animals, defined by the ADA as dogs and miniature horses, are allowed inside buildings, on the sidewalk and beach at Robin Lake Beach, and on Trolleys. Comfort animals, emotional support animals, and therapy animals are not considered service animals and are not permitted in these areas. Service animals must be under the owner’s control, leashed or harnessed, and housebroken. Fantasy In Lights allows service animals on the Jolly Trolley under these conditions. However, they are not allowed in public swimming venues or within 4 ft of the water on wet decks, as per Georgia State Pool Regulations. Owners are responsible for waste disposal.
