Patricia Collins Legacy Fund
The Patricia Collins Legacy Fund was created to honor long-standing Callaway Team Member, Patricia Collins – Former Director of the Gardens. Over the past 53 years, Patricia Collins aspired to fulfill our founders, Cason and Virginia’s vision through numerous educational programs that reach far beyond the boundaries of the Gardens and into the community. From the start of her career, Patricia has taken her passion for horticulture and applied it to multiple roles at Callaway Gardens. During the beginning of her career, Patricia worked as a Display Coordinator in the greenhouse of the John A. Sibley Horticulture Center. Through hard work and a passionate drive, she as quickly promoted to Callaway Gardens’ Director of Education. In this role, Patricia oversaw long-term preservation, growth, and sustainability projects, vital to the Gardens mission. In addition to her various daily duties, Patricia also oversaw the volunteer program, which she created in 1985. Today the program has more than 500 volunteers who play an integral part of the Garden’s daily operations and educational programming. Patricia’s contributions are indeed the essence of Callaway Gardens’ mission.
We are incredibly grateful for her many years of service & would like to honor her legacy through the Patricia Collins Legacy Fund. This fund will go towards continuous restoration of our beautiful Gardens.
