PINE MOUNTAIN, GA - For one month only, Callaway Resort & Gardens will be home to one of nature’s most stunning spectacles: the return of Blue Morpho Month, running September 1–30 inside the Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center.
Native to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America, Blue Morphos are among the largest and most striking butterflies in the world, known for their radiant, iridescent blue wings that symbolize transformation and renewal. While spotting a Blue Morpho in the wild is rare, visitors to Callaway Resort & Gardens will have the chance to witness thousands fluttering freely in a lush, tropical conservatory.
“This is one of the most magical times of year at Callaway,” said Tami Wallace, Senior Marketing Manager. “Guests step into the Butterfly Center and are completely immersed in a sea of vibrant blue. It’s an experience you simply can’t find anywhere else in the Southeast.”
To cap off the monthlong celebration, Callaway Resort & Gardens will host its annual Butterfly Festival on September 27–28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The family-friendly event features nature-inspired vendors, hands-on activities, live entertainment, and more, offering the perfect blend of education and enchantment for all ages.
Why You Don’t Want to Miss It:
A Callaway Exclusive: The Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center is one of the largest tropical butterfly conservatories in North America, uniquely capable of housing this extraordinary display.
A Dazzling Visual Display: Blue Morphos can reach up to 8 inches in wingspan and shimmer in vivid metallic blue, a truly unforgettable sight.
Incredible Photo Opportunities: Whether you’re a photographer, influencer, or simply love sharing beauty, this event offers once-in-a-lifetime visual content.
