Open since 1952, Callaway Resort & Gardens is nestled in the southernmost foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Founders Cason and Virginia Callaway longed for a place where man and nature could connect to the benefit of both. More than seven decades later, their woodland garden retreat continues to offer solace, inspiration, and discovery for all who visit.

A Georgia Treasure Blooms

Discovering the plum leaf azalea is rare and native to the west Georgia woods, Callaway Gardens grew from a desire to create and preserve a woodland garden with no equal.
