Foraging for Fungi: A Guided Mushroom Walk

Join certified mushroom picker and seller Liz Jasper for a hands-on foraging adventure along the scenic trails of Mountain Creek Lake! As we explore the forested paths, Liz will share her expert knowledge of wild mushrooms—how to find them, identify them, and forage responsibly. You’ll learn the basics of mushroom identification, from key features to habitat clues, all while collecting specimens along the way. After the walk, we’ll spread out our finds and work together to identify each mushroom, turning the forest into our classroom. Bring your curiosity, a notebook, and a sense of adventure—along with comfortable shoes, plenty of water, and a basket or paper bag for any finds! Whether you're a curious beginner or an experienced forager, this is a chance to deepen your knowledge, enjoy nature, and maybe discover some fungal treasures of your own.
