This is a “Progressive Workshop”. You’ll begin at the Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center and spend a fun, informative morning learning about these amazing creatures: their astounding life cycle and flight. You’ll also learn the perils that all butterflies are facing in today’s world and how you can help. Class includes a visit to the Day Butterfly Center outdoor garden for tips on how to attract butterflies to your home garden. You’ll leave with lots of information and lots of tips for creating your own backyard butterfly garden. Then you’ll head to the Violet Classroom at the Virginia Hand Callaway Discovery Center to plant your very own Butterfly Container Garden. All containers and plant materials will be provided. You are invited to bring your own gloves if you wish to use them.
